Weber River Parkway, Uintah / South Weber Segment
Easy2–3 miles (Uintah-to-South Weber stretch); 10.5 miles total trail system
A mostly paved multi-use pathway following the Weber River through Uintah and into South Weber. The southern two miles turn to gravel. River views, wildlife sightings, and shade from cottonwoods make it a year-round route.
Leash required
Tip. Access from near the I-84 corridor at the river access points. Trail can be slick after spring runoff. From Uintah you can follow the river west all the way to downtown Ogden.
Uintah Hillside Trail (BST Connector)
Easy0.7 miles one way
A short connector trail linking the Bonneville Shoreline Trail on the bench to the Weber River Parkway below. Part of the 27-mile Centennial Loop Trail network. Passes through a paved tunnel under Highway 89 and follows the old pioneer dugway, good local history underfoot.
Leash required
Tip. The Washington Heights Church parking lot (off Skyline Drive) is the upper trailhead. Use it to connect up to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail for a longer outing.
Bonneville Shoreline Trail, Ogden District (Segment 339)
ModerateVaries by segment; accessible via Skyline Drive connector from Uintah
The Bonneville Shoreline Trail traces the ancient shoreline of Lake Bonneville along the Wasatch Front. Accessing it from Uintah means a short climb up Skyline Drive to the bench, where the trail opens into sweeping views of the valley and the Wasatch Range.
Leash required on National Forest trails in this district
Tip. Weber Canyon creates a natural break in the BST; the trail routes down through Uintah rather than crossing the canyon. Factor this into route planning if you want a through-hike.
