Rohmer Park Perimeter Trail
EasyUnder 1 mile (loop)
A flat walking trail that circles the perimeter of Rohmer Park, Washington Terrace's largest city park. Shaded by mature trees with open grass areas. A solid option for a quick midday walk without leaving the neighborhood.
Leash required, Washington Terrace parks require dogs on leash at all times
Tip. The park also has restrooms, a covered pavilion, and horseshoe pits. Avoid weekend afternoons when youth baseball is in session on the adjacent fields.
Waterfall Canyon Trail
Moderate2.5 miles out-and-back
A popular canyon trail that climbs from the mouth of Ogden Canyon up to a 200-foot waterfall in the Wasatch. Rocky and steep in sections, about 5 miles from Washington Terrace via Harrison Blvd.
Dogs allowed; leash required for the entire trail
Tip. Very busy on summer weekends, go early on weekday mornings. Bring plenty of water; the stream at the base is the only reliable water source.
Weber Pathways Rail Trail
EasyUp to 16 miles out-and-back
A converted rail trail running through wetlands and open land north of Ogden. Flat and straight, ideal for dogs who need a long walk without steep terrain. Parking at the County Line Trailhead off 4000 N and 2000 W.
Leash required throughout
Tip. Long uninterrupted stretches make this great for nervous dogs still building leash manners. No shade on most of the route, avoid midday in summer.
